Learn what the Yeti X 600W Power Supply powers, which Yeti models it charges, and how to set it up correctly for fast recharging.

Quick answer

The Yeti X 600W Power Supply charges your Yeti 1000X, 1500X, or 3000X in hours instead of overnight, and can also serve as a replacement supply for the 6000X. It is not compatible with Yeti Lead Acid, Yeti Lithium, or Yeti 200X/500X models.

When to use the Yeti X 600W Power Supply vs. other charging methods

The Yeti X 600W Power Supply is designed for AC wall charging. It charges a Yeti 1000X in 2 hours, a 1500X in 3 hours, and a 3000X in 6 hours. That is significantly faster than using a standard 120W or 200W AC adapter. If you need to top off your power station quickly between uses, this accessory is the best option.

However, it only works with Yeti X-series models (1000X, 1500X, 3000X) and as a replacement for the 6000X. It does not work with older Yeti Lead Acid, Yeti Lithium, or the compact Yeti 200X/500X. Always check your power station model before purchasing.

How to set up and use the Yeti X 600W Power Supply

  1. Confirm your power station is compatible: Check that your Yeti model is one of these: 1000X, 1500X, 3000X, or 6000X. The power supply will not work with Yeti Lead Acid, Yeti Lithium, Yeti 200X, or Yeti 500X. Incompatible models may cause no charging or damage. Verify before plugging in.
  2. Connect the power supply to AC power: Plug the Yeti X 600W Power Supply into a standard wall outlet (110-240V). The power supply has a built-in fan, so place it on a flat, ventilated surface. Do not cover the power supply or block its vents; it can get warm during fast charging.
  3. Attach the output cable to your Yeti X power station: Connect the barrel connector from the power supply to the DC input port on the back of your Yeti X. Ensure the connection is snug. The power station will begin charging immediately. If charging does not start, check that the power supply is plugged into AC and the connection is secure. No adapter or extra cable is needed.
  4. Monitor the charge status: The Yeti X display will show an incoming power icon and the estimated time to full charge. For a 1000X, expect about 2 hours; for a 3000X, about 6 hours. The power supply delivers constant 600W, so charge times are consistent. If the time seems too long, check that the power station is not also powering loads.
  5. Disconnect and store properly: Once your Yeti X reaches 100%, unplug the power supply from the wall and then disconnect it from the power station. Store the power supply in a dry, cool place. Leaving the power supply connected indefinitely is safe, but disconnecting prevents wear on the cable and reduces clutter.
